Below please find a list of frequently asked questions for Bloomington Meadows.


 

Can I receive phone calls while in the hospital?

Yes. Families are encouraged to call the hospital for information/ updates at any time. Please realize that direct care staff working in the evenings may not have discharge information for you, but we encourage you to utilize your therapist as a resource for information during the treatment process. Patients may not be available for calls at times outside of scheduled phone times due to pre-scheduled groups and activities. The nurse working with your family member can update you at any time regarding behaviors and progress. Phone times are as follows:

  • Youth Acute (12 & Under): Monday – Friday 5:45 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.; Saturday & Sunday 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
  • Youth Acute (13 & Older): Monday – Friday 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.; Saturday & Sunday 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
  • Adults: Daily 8:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.; Saturday & Sunday 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
  • Child & Adolescent RTC: Daily 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

What information do I need to have when calling a patient at Bloomington Meadows Hospital?

For privacy reasons, you will need to have a patient ID# and be listed on the patients’ approved call list in order to be connected to a patient while they are at Bloomington Meadows Hospital.


 

Can I have visitors while I am in the hospital?

Patients may have up to 2 visitors at any one time, each of which must be 12 years of age or older. Visitation outside of designated hours must be arranged by your therapist in advance of the proposed visit.
